New science suggests that walking in a winter wonderland actually makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin. Polish researchers found that levels of self-appreciation increased after strolling in the snow. While hanging out in nature has been proven to boost ideas about body positivity, this is the first time a significant connection between snowy environments and positive self-image has been observed in humans.  Just a few minutes a day can improve both our moods and our physical health, leading to reduced stress and increased self-esteem.
