Heading out with the family to pick apples this fall season? You’ll want to turn your harvest into this delicious fall dessert that the family will LOVE!

Ingredients
6 tbsp butter
2 large peeled baking apple, core and dice the apple into 1/2 inch cubes
6 tsp light brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups graham crackers or shortbread cookies, crushed
Vanilla yogurt
Caramel sauce
Whipped cream topping for garnish (optional)

Instructions
Add butter to a sauce pan (medium-high heat), careful it isn’t too hot burning the butter
Once hot, about 2-3 minutes, add the chopped apples, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Stir, coating the entire apple mixture, continue to stir every 30 seconds or so for 4-5 minutes to ensure even browning.
Remove the apple mixture from the heat and set aside to cool slightly, 2-3 minutes.
While the apple mixture is cooling, add your crushed graham crackers or shortbread cookies to the bottom of the mason jars. Creating your first layer.
Your next layer will be the vanilla yogurt
Next add in your apple mixture
Drizzle some caramel sauce over the apple mixture
Repeat the layers with the remaining graham cracker / shortbread cookies, yogurt, apple and caramel. You will want your last layer to be the apple/caramel.
Top with whip cream (optional) and sprinkle a few remaining cookie crumbles and cinnamon on top.
